THE YOUNGEST OF 3 SISTERS, I WAS LEFT WITH HAND ME DOWNS, LONG LECTURES, THE  SCRAPS, RECYCLED ADVICE, AND A WAY TO "MAKE IT WORK".
HONESTLY STRUGGLING IS WHAT MADE ME STRIVE. NOT HAVING MADE ME INNOVATIVE. NOT GETTING WHAT I WANTED WATERED MY CREATIVITY.
I WASN'T ALWAYS THE PERFECT FLOWER, BUT I WAS CONSTANTLY GROWING AND CHANGING. I STARTED IN A PRIVATE SCHOOL ONLY HAVING 3 OUTFITS TO CHOOSE FROM EVERYDAY: A SKIRT&POLO, A DRESS, OR PANTS&POLO. THAT'S IT. WHEN I FINALLY GOT TO ATTEND PUBLIC SCHOOL I OWNED MY FIRST PAIR OF JEANS, THEY WERE OLD FADED AND HIGH-WAISTED FROM THE THRIFT STORE. TO WEAR JEANS OPPOSED TO POLYESTER GAVE ME A WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE. DRAMATIC, I KNOW... BUT IF YOU HAD YOUR FIRST PAIR OF JEANS AT AGE 8, YOU'D BE DRAMATIC TOO. FROM THERE IT JUST KEPT GOING AND FROM THIS LITTLE SEED GREW A TREE, AND FROM THIS TREE GREW DIFFERENT BRANCHES, ALL ROOTED BUT FROM THE SAME SEED. THE BRANCHES IM TALKING ABOUT ARE THE VARIOUS THINGS, HOBBIES, SKILLS I'M GOOD AT... SOME MAY SAY ITS BETTER TO BE A MASTER AT ONE, THAN BEING A JACK OF ALL TRADES. BUT IF ALL MY TRADES WORK TOGETHER THAN I DON'T SEE WHY I CANT MASTER THEM ALL. EVERYTHING I DO GOES HAND IN HAND, AND FEEDS EACH OTHER... NO TWO TRADES ARE OPPOSITE, THEY ARE SISTERS AND BROTHERS IN ONE FAMILY. I AM THE MASTER OF MY TREE OF TRADES.
